Backup and disaster recovery
We use R1Soft CDP Solutions as well as standard SFTP, FTP and rsync. R1Soft CDP provides data protection and disaster recovery on Linux servers and Windows and Linux operating systems. It synchronizes over the network and stores point-in-time snapshots to protect your disk volume data, and is capable of storing hundreds of recovery points per day. We also offer affordable back-up space and dedicated backup servers with free set-up.
Remote Hands
Our expert technicians can efficiently and knowledgeably operate your equipment in your absence. We provide free basic “remote hands” service which includes rudimentary maintenance tasks like reboots, cabling changes and remote eyes. Initial server racking is also provided at no charge. For advanced tasks such as troubleshooting, installations, testing and back-up, our remote hands service is available for $80 per hour, billed half-hourly.
Firewall Service
We use Cisco Adaptive Security Appliances (ASA) firewall devices for secure communication and intelligent threat-defense services to prevent attacks from impacting your operations. Hardware firewall devices prevent unauthorized access to your server, unauthorized data export and unauthorized access to specific services. Cisco ASA 5505 firewall devices also provide detailed log activity and audit trail, network masking and Virtual Private Network (VPN) access. Firewall service is available for $49.95 per month.
Cross connect
We provide a wide array of options for T1, DS3 and Ethernet connectivity: from our building’s Meet Me Room you can cross connect to any provider in the building (including Sprint, Qwest, Abovenet and Global Crossing); to Equinix; or to the Chicago Internet Exchange. IP and Server Component Monitoring
Our IP monitoring service ensures the continuity of your Internet-based services. We configure and monitor the availability of your server(s) from an off-site location and alert you to any interruptions. Our Server Component Monitoring monitors the health of your server, alerting you to any potential performance issues and providing you with the information necessary to make informed decisions regarding your hosting environment.
